Cat Sterilisation and Adoption Programme

Tail have guaranteed our support to the care and neutering of street cats every month. There is currently no support for this given by the Ayuntamiento. We would like to make Torrox a safer and healthier place for cats and significantly reduce the numbers of unwanted cats on the streets. Uncontrolled breeding and the poor welfare of these cats is a major problem and this can be prevented with an organised and funded programme We need your support to do this so if you would like to donate via the bank, paypal or directly at the refuge or shops, please make your donation CATS. This will enable us to sterilise even more cats. If you would like to adopt a cat or kitten please contact us . Adoption fee is by arrangement

Mr Grey is a talkative cat, very loving with his brothers and sisters. Human and home curious, but needs a patient human to build trust with. His mom found a shelter in a campo house and gave birth to him and 3 other siblings. When they were over one month old, a human found them and fed them looking after them. Now sterilised and dewormed, Mr Grey needs a warm shelter for the upcoming winter.

All adoptions are subject to a homecheck by us or one of our partner organisations or a satisfactory reference. The adoption fee is 200 Euros to help cover the cost of vaccination, microchip, passport, treatment for parasites and sterilization.

Ramzes is a playful, friendly and loving kitten. He was abandoned by his mom and found at around 2 weeks old on the 27th July 2024. Since then he was fed and taken care of in a warm home. He is a great human companion, loves to sleep cuddling into human and still looking for mother’s breast while sleeping and waking up. He is a cat who needs to have space to be playful. His physical appearance is very special and different to a usual european cat that we see everyday, his short hair, long and thin body, big ears and patches on his body seem like he has roots of Savannah cat. He is already as big and strong at his almost 2 months older fellows. He needs a human and home for his lifetime.

Smokey, currently living in one of the street cat colonies, is a big affectionate boy, he is desperate to be spending time with someone to love him, an ideal home cat. Smokey is an older cat, who is castrated.
